The choice of silane coupling agent in silicone sealant has a relatively large impact on the performance of the sealant。
Acetoxy sealant:acetoxy sealant uses relatively few coupling agents. Currently, the most commonly used coupling agent is D-11 di-tert-butoxydiacetoxysilane, which can improve the adhesion of acetoxy sealant to metal.
Oxime sealant:The commonly used silane coupling agents of oxime sealant mainly include LT-550, LT-560 and LT-792. Among them, LT-550 and LT-792 can improve the adhesiveness and storage stability of the sealant. The adhesiveness of LT-792 is better than that of LT-550. LT-550 is better than LT-792 in terms of storage stability and yellowing resistance. LT-560 can improve the curing strength and curing speed of the sealant, but excessive addition of coupling agent will affect the storage stability and yellowing resistance of the sealant.
Alkoxy sealant:Commonly used coupling agents for alkoxy sealant include LT-171, LT-550, LT-560 and LT-792. Among them, LT-550 and LT-792 can improve the adhesiveness of the sealant and reduce the storage stability of the sealant, and at the same time easily cause the yellowing of the sealant; LT-171 and LT-560 can improve the curing speed and storage stability of the sealant, but the improvement in adhesion is limited.
